Since the release of the Kinect in 2010 it has become apparent that its use stretches far beyond the gaming it was intended for. With custom firmware being constantly created the kinects full potential is starting to show.It is currently being used in a hospital in USA to assist Doctors whilst working in the operating theatre. The military have been testing its use for bomb disposal procedures and its use within the education field is in abundance. Alongside this the kinect can also be used within the office. It has been used as part of cctv systems to sense groups of people even in minimal visibility.A topshop store in moscow used the kinect to show customers an interactive display of their collection.
